The multiple award winning format Get Close To… Sugababes is one of the first interactive digital branded entertainment formats. It offers viewers the opportunity to get a private peak into the lives of celebrities and interact with them.

Get Close To… was partially shot by Endemol its production team and partially by the artists themselves with a mobile phone. It gave viewers access to highly personal footage a professional crew would never be able to capture.

The show was commissioned by O2 UK and Nokia N-Series was seamlessly integrated within the series. It was a great success; both in terms of mobile views as in terms of free publicity. The series consistently performed as a top 3 download on the O2 Active portal during the 6 weeks run of the show.

After the success in the UK, a local Spanish version of the show called 'Yo! Melendi' with the Spanish rock artist Melendi, was released together with Movistar and Nokia. Again, the format proved to be a big success.

Soon Endemol Spain will launch the next series with Spanish music artist Bustamante.
